Stroller Screentime Tips
Tip 1: Set clear expectations and boundaries
Instead of eliminating screen time, aim for a balanced approach with clear boundaries. Let your child know how long they can use the device beforehand for example, one episode or 30 minutes, to avoid surprises.
Tip 2: Maintain a Safe Viewing Distance
Keep the screen at least 20–30 cm away from your toddler’s eyes to protect their vision. Ensure they’re seated comfortably and not leaning too close to the screen.
Tip 3: Save Screens for Specific Situations
Use screen time as a tool during long walks, errands, or when your toddler needs help staying calm in public, not as a default activity.
Tip 4: Frame It with Transitions
Give warnings like, “5 more minutes,” or “One more episode,” to prepare them for the end of screen time. This helps reduce tantrums.
